3 Powerful Steps to Uncover Your True Self and Embrace Authenticity
Nov 07, 2024Have you heard Gabor Mate's explanation of Attachment vs. Authenticity? He explains that as children, if you are not accepted, you hide your authenticity in order to receive the needed attachment from your parents/caregivers. Now think of yourself as an adult, are there places in your life where you show up in a way to make others comfortable over your authenticity? This can be deep rooted in your subconscious, taking the form of personality mirroring, people pleasing, or wearing a "mask" around others.
Now let's look at authenticity and spirituality. In many spiritual texts, the subjects of connecting with your Highest Self and self healing come up often. As we've talked about in this blog, we each came here to Earth School for a PHD level education in healing (it's said there's even a waitlist to come here for this experience!). In the manifestation world, it's all about visualizing and aligning with your desires. Both schools of thought have something in common. Aligning with your authenticity.
All the Universe wants when you are trying to manifest, is to get back into your authentic vibration to receive. Connecting with your Highest Self means that you are connecting with your most authentic self, since your Highest Self is you without the Ego.
Your authenticity is your uniqueness. It's the parts of you that may be hidden to blend in with others and not be judged. But when everyone tries to be like each other, not only are we lowering the energy of the planet (creating more illness and issues) we are also stifling innovation. Ideas that were turning points in our civilization came from one person deciding they had a mission to share. Something bigger than the mask they were wearing. When you align authentically, your purpose and mission reveal themselves, giving you something bigger than yourself to be passionate about. This is where true fulfillment comes from, being authentically yourself + serving others. Embracing your uniqueness not only benefits you personally but also contributes positively to the world around you.
Here’s our powerful 3 step process to help you unlock your authenticity
Step 1: Self-Reflection and Acceptance
Begin your journey to authenticity with self-reflection and acceptance. Take the time to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. What makes you different? What sets you apart? Embrace all aspects of yourself, including your quirks, flaws, and strengths. Remember, it's these unique traits that make you stand out.
Self-acceptance is crucial for unlocking your authenticity. Instead of conforming to societal norms or fitting into a mold created by others, celebrate your individuality. Recognize that you are enough just as you are, and that your uniqueness adds value to the world.
Step 2: Define Your Values and Passions
Next, define your values and passions. What matters most to you? What brings you joy and fulfillment? Reflect on your core beliefs and identify activities, causes, and relationships that align with them. Living authentically means staying true to your values and pursuing your passions wholeheartedly. Whether it’s dedicating time to a hobby you love, advocating for a cause you believe in, or nurturing meaningful relationships, prioritize activities that resonate with your authentic self. By aligning your actions with your values, you’ll experience a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.
Step 3: Express Yourself Fearlessly
Finally, express yourself fearlessly. Break free from fear and self-doubt, and allow your true self to shine through. Whether it’s through your creative endeavors, your day to day living, or your interactions with others, let authenticity guide your every move. Remember, authenticity is magnetic. When you embrace who you are without reservation, you inspire others to do the same. By sharing your unique gifts and perspectives with the world, you contribute to a richer, more diverse tapestry of human experience.
Let's look at the benefits of embracing your authenticity, there are so many (below are just a few)!
